Sweet Home Officer Bryce Barreto, among the first on the scene at Mariah King’s death last year, testified during a hearing Thursday that his review of King's phone showed she had made statements about dying by suicide.

The case against a Sweet Home man accused of killing his girlfriend last year took a strange turn Thursday after prosecutors revealed that the medical examiner who performed the autopsy found an unspent bullet in the victim’s lower abdomen.
