Ontario High School seniors wearing their caps and gowns head to busses that will take them through Grad Walk, an annual event that takes graduating seniors to their middle and elementary schools for a celebratory march through the hallways in 2024. The class of 2024 had a graduation rate of 81.8%, the Oregon Department of Education said this week.

If ever a collection of Oregon high school students had odds stacked against them, it was the class of 2024.
