Description

Reusable plastic bags were available at grocery store checkouts, restaurants and other retail locations in Oregon under the state's existing single-use plastic ban, but a new law eliminates their use as well.

Gov. Tina Kotek has signed a bill into law that bans thicker, reusable plastic bags at grocery store checkouts, restaurants and other retail locations in Oregon, expanding the stateโ€™s existing ban on single-use plastic bags.
