Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer, left, is locked in a tight race with Democratic challenger Janelle Bynum, right, for her seat in Congress. Bynum held a slight lead two days after the election, but tens of thousands of ballots remained uncounted.

The outcome of Oregon’s tightly contested 5th Congressional District race remained too close to call Thursday night as newly counted ballots continue to trickle in from the six counties it spans.
