Oregon coast city sues feds to halt ICE detention center

Lawyers for the city allege that Newport will suffer deep harm if ICE agents and detainees come to town because their presence will drive away tourism the community depends on economically.

The city of Newport on Monday sued the Trump administration to halt the construction of any U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility.
