Diane Downs is led in handcuffs into the Lane County Courthouse by Christine Rosage on the first day of her 1984 trial on accusations that she shot her three children, one fatally.  Her case attracted widespread attention, as evidenced by the television cameras that followed her.  THE OREGONIAN
