Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek speaks at the inaugural meeting of the Oregon Prosperity Council in downtown Portland on Jan. 22, 2026. The council was created to advise the governor on steps to boost economic growth, create more living-wage jobs and help recruit and grow businesses in Oregon. At least one business group is now saying it would like to see more from the council.

A leading Oregon business group is urging Gov. Tina Kotek’s economic advisers to act with greater ambition if they want to attract businesses into the state and reignite the state’s economy.
