Sen. Wlnsvey Campos, D-Aloha, is the chief sponsor of a bill that would prohibit Oregon landlords from inquiring about the immigration status or citizenship of current or future tenants.

Oregon lawmakers are considering a bill that would make it illegal to inquire about a potential renters’ immigration status — or deny them the ability to rent a home based on the landlord’s perception of their immigration status.
