A Jan. 12, 2024 shooting of a woman inside her car after she was pulled over for having no license plates has spurred a federal suit alleging negligence and excessive force.

A federal suit alleges a Gold Beach police officer’s close-range shooting of a woman inside her car during a traffic stop amounted to negligent and excessive force.
