A winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 7:50 p.m. in effect until Thursday at 4 p.m. for Ochoco-John Day Highlands.
"Total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches above 4500 feet and 1 to 3 inches between 4000 and 4500 feet. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph with blowing snow," states the weather service. "Steady snow overnight will turn to snow showers Thursday morning and afternoon."
