Description

BANDON – Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center celebrated its incredible team during National Nurses Week (May 6-12) and National Hospital Week (May 11-17).

Employees enjoyed a week packed with fun, food (cupcakes, ice cream, popcorn, barbecue lunch), and appreciation – lovely plants and AwardCo points redeemable for rewards. Southern Coos Health District Board members joined in the festivities, a couple of them helping with the grilling along with CEO Ray Hino at the barbecue lunch on Thursday.

SCHHC employees also connected with the hospital’s history through a slide show presentation, played history BINGO, learned about the employee support program, Canopy, and captured some fun memories in a photo booth.

Thank you to everyone who made the week so special and to SCHHC for fostering such a positive work environment. We even received a proclamation about Nurses Week and Hospital Week from the City of Bandon, read by Mayor Mary Schamehorn, who also serves on the Southern Coos Health District Board.
