At the opening of a new health clinic in Northeast Portland, a result of the local push to provide more holistic services, a person being trained as a pharmacy technician speaks, from the left: Anirudh Padmala, interim executive director of the Community Health Center; Adrien Bennings, community college president; Multnomah County Chair Jessica Vega Pederson and Health Center Board Chair Tamia Deary.

In Portland’s Cully neighborhood, local forces have come together to meld health care, housing, and job training to elevate young adults and families.
