On Monday at 2:52 a.m. a winter storm warning was issued by the National Weather Service valid from Tuesday 4 a.m. until Thursday 4 p.m. for Northern Blue Mountains of Oregon and East Slopes of the Oregon Cascades.
"Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 20 and 30 inches possible," describes the weather service. "Total snow accumulations of 24-30 inches for Washington Cascades, 17-25 inches for Oregon Cascades, and 10-20 inches for the Northwest Blue Mountains will be possible. Heaviest snow expected Tuesday morning through Tuesday Evening."
