On Wednesday at 7:54 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory in effect until Friday at 4 a.m. for Northern and Eastern Klamath County and Western Lake County.
"Snow. Total snow accumulations between 3 to 8 inches with higher amounts of 8 to 14 inches above 5000 feet elevation. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph in the valleys and 60 mph over the mountains," can be anticipated according to the weather service. "Snow levels will fluctuate between 4000 and 5000 feet. Periods of moderate snow are likely tonight and Thursday morning and again Thursday evening through early Friday morning."
