NORTH BEND, Ore. — The City of North Bend is pleased to announce that Officer Lovell has successfully completed the 16-week Basic Police Academy at the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training.  Graduation from the academy marks an important milestone in Officer Lovell’s law enforcement career and reflects months of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. She will now continue in-house field training with the North Bend Police Department before independently patrolling the streets of North Bend.  During the academy, Officer Lovell volunteered to serve as a member of the Honor Guard, a role requiring additional time, training, and commitment beyond the academy’s regular schedule. At the graduation ceremony, she proudly escorted the American and Oregon flags during the posting of the colors.  Officer Lovell also represented North Bend by singing the National Anthem during the graduation ceremony.  The City of North Bend congratulates Officer Lovell on this outstanding achievement and wishes her continued success as she completes the remainder of her training.
