Description

Citing he would be breaking the law by going against Oregon’s Sanctuary State Status, Coos Co. Sheriff Gabe DeFazio spoke before the Coos Co. Commissioners Tuesday during a question to the county regarding a proclamation that would have expressed a commitment to cooperating with Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) on certain immigration detainees.  The three-member board, after listening to public testimony, voted against the proposed proclamation.
