Description
Oregon was one out away from its first Pac-12 tournament win, but instead is headed home after a total meltdown against Utah.
Leading 4-3, the No. 3 seed Ducks were facing runners on second and third with two outs and elected to intentionally walk Utah’s Julia Jimenez. After two close pitch outs from Morgan Scott, the second of which Jimenez fouled off, the third throw outside went off catcher Emma Kauf’s glove and to the backstop, allowing the tying run to score on a passed ball.
