The Oregon Board of Education is among the education policymaking bodies that is going to have to become more transparent with the public. This recording of its Dec. 3 meeting wasn't posted until 3 1/2 weeks after it took place. (Screenshot from YouTube)

For some Oregon school districts, the new-for-2025 law that they must record all school board meetings and post them online within a week will be no great lift, given that it’s already their standard operating procedure.
