Rose Bowl
It’s the “Granddaddy” of them all, the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA and this year is not the end of a season, nor a time to celebrate as the Rose Bowl Game is one of four quarter-final sites for this year’s College Football Playoffs and it features the same old Big Ten vs. Pac-12 matchup. Except, the Big Ten gobbled up part of the Pac-12 and the Pac-12 doesn’t exist anymore. Still, it should be a great game featuring No. 8 Ohio State (11-2) and No. 1 Oregon (13-0). Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. on ESPN. The winner will advance to the CFP semi-finals at the Goodyear Cotton Bowl, Dallas, TX, Friday, Jan. 10th.
Penn St./Boise St.
Penn State advanced to the NCAA CFP semi-finals with a 31-14 win over Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl, Glendale, AZ, Tuesday, Dec. 31st. The Nittany Lions will face the winner of the Notre Dame vs. Georgia game on Thursday, Jan. 9th, at the Orange Bowl, Miami, FL.
CFP games
The College Football Playoffs quarter-finals have three games today, Jan. 1st. At 10 a.m., Texas vs. Arizona St., Peach Bowl. At 2 p.m., Ohio State vs. Oregon, Rose Bowl. At 5:45 p.m., Notre Dame vs. Georgia, Sugar Bowl. All games televised on ESPN.
