NBHS release - Over the weekend of February 27th to March 1st, the North Bend High School Boys and Girls bowling teams competed in the state championships held at Park Lanes in Hillsboro, Oregon. On Friday the 27th the students bowled their individual singles games and Hannah Worch took 1st place in the girls division for singles. The students then bowled a total of 30 qualifying games between Saturday and Sunday morning. After the completion of the qualifying games the girls team was seated in 2nd place and the boys team was seated in 14th place going into the double elimination finals. The boys fought hard and went 3-0 to remain in the winners bracket going into the final round and took 3rd place to finish the tournament. The girls had a tough loss at the start of the finals but fought their way back up through the brackets to take 3rd place as well. North Bend is the only school in the state of Oregon that not only had both their boys and girls teams qualify for state but also medal at state.
