Description

City of North Bend release - The City of North Bend was notified today that recently mailed Coos County property tax statements (mailed October 15, 2025) incorrectly show an Urban Renewal amount for the Urban Renewal Agency.  What happened:  A processing error caused tax statements to display Urban Renewal dollars that should not be collected this year.  What the County is doing:  The Coos County Assessor’s Office is working with its software provider to reverse the affected Urban Renewal entries.  Corrected tax statements will be printed and mailed to impacted taxpayers.  The County is finalizing a public press release with additional details.  What taxpayers should do right now:  No action is required at this time. Please watch for a corrected statement in the mail.  If you have already paid, the County will provide guidance with your correction notice.  Who to contact with questions about your bill:  Coos County Tax Office at 541-396-7725.  City coordination:  The City of North Bend and the North Bend Urban Renewal Agency followed the required process for this fiscal year and did not intend to collect Urban Renewal increment. We are coordinating closely with Coos County to ensure statements are accurate and that taxpayers receive clear information.  We appreciate the public’s patience while the County completes these corrections. The City will share updates as soon as the County provides timing for the re-mailing of statements and any additional instructions for taxpayers.
