Two Muslim women are suing the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, alleging they were forced to remove their religious head coverings while they were in custody and photographed in front of other prisoners and sheriff’s deputies.

7/1/25 - LCSO Case #25-3102 Man arrested near Veneta after firing shots during dispute On July 1st at about 6 a.m., Lane County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a dispute with shots fired in the 87300 block of Central Road, southeast of Veneta.
