Description

Health officials have confirmed a new measles case in Oregon.
The case was reported in Multnomah County and linked to a Gresham grocery store identified earlier this month as a measles exposure site.
Officials previously warned people who visited Gresham’s WinCo Foods, located on 2511 SE 1st St., between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. on March 7 that they might have been exposed to measles.
According to the county, there is little risk to the general public at this time. People who have measles symptoms, which can include a fever and a rash, should still contact their health care provider.
The infected person and their family members are cooperating with health officials. The county says the person had previously received one dose of the MMR vaccine.
According to state health officials, there have been at least 10 confirmed measles cases this year.
