Cleanup vehicles are parked outside the main entrance to the Multnomah Athletic Club lobby in Portland on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, three days after authorities say a man drove a vehicle into the clubhouse early Saturday.

The Multnomah Athletic Club will look to reopen in phases after a former employee drove a rented SUV packed with explosives through the front doors, crashed through glass turnstiles and steered toward a banquet space where he ignited a fire that killed him.
