Description

Tax breaks for Hillsboro's data centers doubled last year, to nearly $90 million. The governor's economic development legislation would enable data centers in urban and suburban areas to collect such incentives for 10 years, twice as long as they can under existing law.

Economic development legislation championed by Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek is poised to dramatically expand the state’s tax breaks for data centers, which are already among the largest in the nation.
