Skiers hit the snow at Timberline in December, at the start of a disappointing ski season.

A sudden snowstorm forced a Mount Hood ski area to shut down Saturday — an unwelcome twist in an already disappointing season.

Last week, May 3–9, 2026, we celebrated Public Service Recognition Week in Tualatin, recognizing the dedication, professionalism, and contributions of public employees who serve our community every day.
