DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. - The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance in locating 52-year-old Jeffrey Alan Hawks of Drain who was reported missing to deputies on Tuesday evening. Hawks was last seen on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at approximately 7:00 a.m., when he departed Murphy Plywood, located at 2350 Prairie Road in Eugene. Hawks was expected to return to his residence in the 13000 block of Upper Smith River Road in Drain, but there are no indications he ever arrived. Hawks has not contacted family or friends and has missed several days of work. His cell phone is currently powered off or out of service range. Hawks is described as a white male, standing 6 feet, 3 inches tall, weighing approximately 275 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair. He is associated with a white 2005 Toyota Sequoia bearing Oregon license plate 216HMS. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office and DCSO Search and Rescue teams are actively searching for Hawks with the assistance and coordination of Lane County Sheriff's Office and LCSO Search and Rescue.
