The audit from Multnomah County also shows disproportionate sanctions for Black and Native American people and those with mental health conditions.

Multnomah County probation and parole officers are jailing fewer people for minor parole violations than they did in 2019, but those who do land behind bars are staying much longer, according to a new audit.
