On March 20th 2026, at 5:20 p.m., a Coos County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a residence on Fairview Road near milepost 11 to contact a wanted subject.  
  
Cody T. Underwood (18) attempted to flee from the deputy on foot, but was caught and taken into custody on the outstanding warrant.  
  
Mr. Underwood was arrested and transported to the Coos County Jail, where he was booked.  
  
“Police action is not indicative of guilt.  All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.”
