***Media Release*** Case #: S2026-00416 On Friday, March 20, 2026, at 2:52 p.m., a Coos County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a report of a crash on Lampa Lane near milepost 11. Upon the Deputy’s arrival, Mast Brothers Towing had already been called, and they were in the process of removing the vehicle, which had hit a tree head-on. The driver, Larry Nicholson (59), had an Oregon driving status of Suspended Felony. As a result of the investigation, Larry Nicholson (59) was arrested on the charge of Driving While Suspended Felon and transported to the Coos County Jail, where he was booked and released. “Police action is not indicative of guilt.
