Description

A 40-year old Powers male was sentenced Monday, Oct. 14, 2024 to 307-months in prison for his guilty plea involving the death of his 82-year old grandfather one year ago.  According to a news release from Coos Co. District Attorney R. Paul Frasier, “these charges were the result of incidents that occurred on October 13, 2023 that resulted in the death of Mearl McDaniel at the Rose City Mill.”  McDaniel will be placed in the custody of the Oregon Dept. of Corrections.
