Michael Moreland, 33, was sentenced to five years and 10 months in state prison during a hearing Thurs., April 16, 2026.

A Portland man who was in the midst of a drug binge when he shoved a commuter onto the path of an oncoming MAX train vowed to commit himself to sobriety during a sentencing hearing.
