Man shot by Border Patrol in Portland arrested, booked in jail on federal hold

Description

A red Toyota truck is towed away from inside Bria Apartments on Southeast 146th and East Burnside Street. The driver drove there after he and his passenger were shot by Border Patrol in a medical office lot in Southeast Portland on Thurs., Jan. 8, 2026.

The driver shot in the arm by a U.S. Border Patrol officer in Southeast Portland was booked Sunday afternoon into jail and is expected to appear Monday in federal court.
