Description

Sanjay Kaushik signed a document declaring he would “not directly or indirectly export, reexport, or transfer (in country) items subject” to export restrictions to Russia, Ukraine, or Belarus. Kaushik claimed the equipment would be used in a civilian helicopter, according to the indictment.

A 57-year-old man has pleaded not guilty in federal court in Portland to an indictment accusing him of attempting to export an air navigation and flight control system from Oregon to Russia through his home country of India.
