Description

Police on Wednesday night tased a man who had stabbed himself in Southeast Portland, and the man died shortly after the altercation, authorities said.

Officers from the Enhanced Crisis Intervention team, responding to a report that a man was cutting himself, arrived at a home in the 7800 block of Southeast Tolman Street at about 6p.m. to find the man behind a makeshift barricade and stabbing himself, the Portland Police Bureau said in a statement.
