After a head coaching tenure spanning 14 seasons with the Sheldon girls basketball team, Brian Brancato is taking over as the boys basketball coach for the Irish starting next season.

With Brancato at the helm, the Irish finished with a 262-108 record, making the playoffs in every season. The Irish advanced to the state semifinals in 2015 and 2019, finishing the tournament in third place and fifth place, respectively.
