Local Art to inspire creating more Pollinator Habitat!
This summer and fall Bandon’s public art is a garden of pollinator inspired paintings!
The Port of Bandon Boardwalk Art Show had a great turnout and there’s many beautiful pollinators and native plants depictions from local youth and adults to view through mid-October.
You can vote for your favorites at the green Bandon Bait and Tackle.
At Bandon Coffee Cafe through August enjoy a group show of pollinator inspired art.
Artists Vicki Affatati and Laura Nutter invited flower painting friends to create work about local pollinators - hummingbirds, moths, butterflies, and a collection of bees are flying around the cafe- along with information panels about the importance of creating habitat. Art cards and prints are available to purchase at the counter.
Toy Shop has again offered her exterior walls to public art! There is an ever-expanding show of pollinator artwork from local students, North Bend High School and local artists. Plus, Mara Nolan’s 2013 beautiful mural of a sphinx moth.
Educational panels are included. More work and native planters will be added.
And.. Summer Garmen, Stillwater Native’s intern and budding native plant gardener, along with her sister, Ember, have painted two huge local species - American Lady and Western Swallowtail - Keep your eye out around downtown to see where they land!
