Description

Legacy Health and Regence BlueCross BlueShield — two of the Portland metro area’s biggest health care players — are stuck in a standoff over a new contract that sets how much the insurer will pay for care. Their current contract ends on March 31. The emergency entrance for Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center in Portland is pictured on Monday, April 17, 2023.

Legacy Health patients insured through Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon could soon find themselves caught in the middle of a familiar – and costly – standoff.
