K9 Athena and Sgt. Dunning helped partner agencies locate a target vehicle. Officers seized about 7 grams of suspected methamphetamine, cash and weapons. North Bend Police Department is recognizing another successful deployment by our K9 team. With the assistance of Sgt. Dunning and our partners at Oregon State Police, South Coast Interagency Narcotics Team, and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, K9 Athena helped locate a target vehicle during a recent operation. As a result of the operation, officers recovered and seized the following items as evidence: Approximately 7 grams of suspected methamphetamine; Cash; Drug scales and drug paraphernalia; An imitation (replica) firearm; Several swords and knives. This type of coordinated work strengthens regional public safety efforts and helps reduce the presence of illegal drugs and dangerous items in our community. To protect the integrity of ongoing enforcement work, additional details are not being released at this time.
