On January 1st, Lane County Sheriff’s deputies began investigating a report of an individual who peered through the window of a residence in the middle of the night. The victim reported the suspect broke through her fence to access the yard, and her young child was sleeping near where the suspect stood. On January 7th, deputies arrested a 14-year-old juvenile in the case for Trespass in the 2nd Degree and Criminal Mischief in the 2nd Degree. Due to the charges being misdemeanors, the juvenile was released to parents and the case will be forwarded to the Juvenile Division of the Lane County District Attorney’s Office. The Lane County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the public’s assistance in this case.
