Description

Federal agents deploy teargas and flash-bangs as hundreds of people protest in front of the Portland ICE facility in the South Waterfront the evening of Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026.

A federal judge Tuesday issued a temporary order prohibiting federal officers at Portland’s U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement office from directing tear gas, pepper ball, rubber bullets or other munitions at people unless they pose a direct threat to officers.
