Afuri, the Japanese ramen chain, has closed its Old Town Portland location.

Afuri, the Japanese ramen chain that picked Portland for its first United States location, announced the permanent closure of its Old Town restaurant Thursday, blaming the “lingering negative perception of downtown safety” in part for the closure.
