Description
It’s First Responder Wellness Week!
First responders, including law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, 911 dispatchers, corrections deputies and members of others public safety face some of the most challenging and stressful work environments. Ensuring first responders’ mental and physical wellness needs are met is critical. The goal of First Responder Wellness Week is to shine a light on the unique wellness needs of the first responder community, as well as to provide resources to help support personnel with wellness-related issues including sleep, fitness, nutrition, fatigue, compassion fatigue, anger management, post-traumatic stress, and so many others.
The commitment of a first responder demands more than just showing up. Physical strength, mental toughness and emotional balance are the foundation for serving others, and they’re equally important for living a long, healthy life.
We acknowledge the hard work of all first responders and understand the commitment they make each and every day to our communities.
