Mateo Gabriel Mendoza, 19, was arrested March 28 on a fugitive warrant out of Skagit County, Washington, accused of second-degree forcible rape. Portland police and a deputy district attorney claimed he was the alleged fugitive, though he had a different name and different date of birth and was from a different city.

Mateo Gabriel Mendoza remembers the moment he read the fugitive warrant accusing him of trying to run from a rape charge.
