Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents are investigating the death of Darius Chappell, who died while in custody at the Montgomery County Jail days after a Clarksville police K-9 was used during his arrest. The case also remains the subject of an internal police use-of-force review.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is examining the death of a man who died while being held at the Montgomery County Jail several days after he was bitten by a Clarksville police K-9 during his arrest, authorities said. The investigation was requested by 19th Judicial District Attorney General Robert Nash after the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office began a preliminary inquiry into the in-custody death.Source:
