🚔 Incident Report: Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest 🚔
On January 13th at approximately 9:07 PM, Deputy Z. Smith was addressing a parking violation at the intersection of S. Spring Rd. and Carraway Lane in Coos Bay, Oregon. While on scene, a blue pickup truck approached, stopped abruptly upon seeing the deputy, and turned around.
After clearing the parking violation, Deputy Z. Smith located the vehicle further down the street and initiated a traffic stop for a driving violation at Libby Lane and Sand Dollar Road. The deputy recognized the driver, 47-year-old Brice Reed, from previous encounters and was aware that he did not have valid driving privileges.
During the stop, Dispatch informed Deputy Z. Smith that Brice had an active warrant for violating a restraining order. As a result, Deputy Z. Smith arrested Brice for the warrant, issued traffic citations, and had the vehicle towed.
Brice was transported to the Coos County Jail for booking. Thank you to our law enforcement for their diligence and commitment to keeping our roads safe! 🚓 #LawEnforcement #CommunitySafety
