🚨 Incident Report: DUII Arrest 🚨
On February 28, 2025, at approximately 5:35 PM, Deputy B. Freerksen was patrolling the area of Bunkerhill when he was dispatched to MP 3 on Coos Sumner Lane. Upon arrival, Deputy Freerksen observed a white 2014 Chevy Terrain on the shoulder, having taken out a road sign.
The driver, identified as 53-year-old Denise Stevens, exhibited signs of impairment including slurred speech, glossy eyes, and the odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath. After requesting consent for Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFST), Stevens agreed. Following the completion of the tests, she was arrested and taken to the Coos Bay Police Department for further testing.
Stevens was issued a criminal citation for DUII and additional violations.
