Description

Senate President Rob Wagner of Lake Oswego and House Speaker Julie Fahey, both Democrats, speak with reporters after the Legislature finished the 2025 session. Ahead of this year's short session, both said they hope to boost affordability, address the state's budget deficit in a deliberate manner and challenge federal immigration enforcement policies.

Oregon lawmakers will return to Salem next week for a packed legislative session in which they hope to address a projected budget deficit, strengthen the state’s economy and challenge federal immigration enforcement policies.
