As immigration enforcement tactics escalate and fear spreads, separating fact from fiction has become increasingly challenging on social media where residents and activists are trying to track ICE sightings and arrests in real time. Many of the posts are unverified and some are outright rumors. (Associated Press)

A post circulating on social media earlier this week claimed federal agents would set up roadblocks on major Portland-area freeways the week of Thanksgiving in what would be an unprecedented immigration dragnet.
