Reporter Noelle Crombie spent more than two years reporting on the July 8, 2023, wreck that killed 11-year-old Ryan Ambrose.

She traveled to Yuma, Arizona, to meet with his mother, his extended family and teachers and spent time with his relatives in Vancouver and Portland.
